YAY I have a red dress!

ok, so I found a red dress last night in Woodbridge mall. Chris and I walked through the whole thing, and discovered slightly more red dresses, but not really that many. At least I have a witness that they really are hard to find. But I got one at Torrid, and its really nice. I also got a red headband with white hearts and a pair of white shoes.

Yesterday was the award/thanks ceremony for the Heart walk I did in October. I got an award for being the "heart" of my companies campaign, as in did lots of work so that we were successful. I guess we were, my company raised over $30,000 for the walk. And there was a free lunch, which is always nice. Unfortunately, I picked up shirts for my team, and they gave me stupid sizes, which is annoying. eh, everyone will live.

Ok, so I will be at Dreamation this weekend, every day but Sunday. If you go, say hi - I'm at reg, you won't miss me.

On that note I'm going to change and run some errands, and head out.

Later all.

Today in the life of jellacle

So 24 was pretty cool. I really wasn't expecting that guy to be Jack's brother. Andrew thought it was a little forced, but I said, we've only seen like 6 or 7 days in Jack's entire life, it kinda isn't that big of a deal if we don't know his family.
So that was fun, and I hope Assad isn't gone, I love his eyes. Ok, so maybe that isn't the most important reason to have someone on a tv show, but it rates up there with they show their breasts.
In other news my presentation went well. So I will have worker bees for my go red event in Feb. And I didn't die doing the presentation.
I'm also going to be walking on April 22nd in a heart walk - yeah, this is kinda an important organization for me. Heart disease kills. So we should get rid of it.
hmm, not sure what else to say.
Happy Birthday Shawn!

LOL my life part whatever - I don't remember how many posts I've done so far.

So Dave actually came over yesterday. We went to the mall cause he wanted to use his gift card for some legos, and I wanted to walk. When we got there his phone rang, he had to go into work that night for overtime IN CASE it snowed. It hadn't started snowing yet. and it really didn't snow, but on the off chance it might snow he got to get overtime. Which is good, I'm glad he got overtime, but it sucked that he didn't get to hang out. we kept saying, uh huh, you are going to PA, aren't you. LOL.
So, Anyway. tomorrow I do a go red presentation, and I'm SOOO Nervous. and I'll have to survive until 2:00 pm to do it, which is scary. But I have everything set up at work, so I'm ready. Just need to get through it.
hmmm, what else is going on. Not much. I went shopping today for a red dress - for the go red event in Feb. Its kinda depressing, there really weren't red dresses for sale. The few I saw were either ugly, or didn't have my size. Ok one was just WAAAAY too expensive for me.
oh, my phone is ringing. its a bit far for me to go get it. so I won't. LOL.
back to the dress. so I mean, are red dresses that unpopular? I thought it wouldn't be that hard to find one, but all the winter stuff was black and brown, and the spring stuff was pastel. I guess I'm just weird.
Ok, I'm done for now, new 24 tonight, so I'll probably post my thoughts on it tomorrow.
Later

Cat Love and other important jellacle thoughts

Or what I did with my day, along with a big dose of why having a cat love you is bad.
LOL, Andrew found that this morning, the poor thing. It didn't look like that last night. And it still has a face which is kinda sad. But it was loved by Kitty.
So today I went and looked at assisted living centers for my grandmother. They are really expensive here, I don't think she'll move here. But I really, really, really pray she does. Anywhooo. I went to 2 today, I wanted to go to 3 but I had to wait for a long time at one for a tour. My goal when I retire is to live in one of these places, they are amazing, all your meals cooked, laundry done, housekeeping assistance, friends in the building, well if you like the people living there anyway. They always seem really nice. One is right across from a stripmall, which could be nice for errands and such.
Otherwise I pretty much didn't do much. played some computer games, read some of a book, watched a little tv. Andrew worked today, so I didn't really spend time with him, the game was tonight, I could have gone with him, but really don't want to be up that late.
I did get to talk to my old pal Mike. I found him on myspace, which rocks totally. Though he still hasn't explained how he turned into a lizard, but I'm sure he'll explain that eventually.
LOL.
I also just read a wonderful piece in Time magazine, which has really changed my life. ok, actually it hasn't. It says that it is good to be messy. YAY!
ok, that's it I guess for now. no new law and order, but new Psych! Wheee.

The Kids

Ok, so we went to the Big Apple Con today. it was pretty fun, even though we didn't get any autographs - which is odd for us. We took the train in from town. it was pretty cold, some snow was still on the ground from last night too. Andrew brought a comic book to get autographed but the artist didn't get there by the time we left. we got there after two, and left after 4:00. First booth we stopped at was a very nice couple that sells T-shirts of Marvel Comic Characters, Andrew ended up getting a new ghost rider shirt before we left from them. We then wandered around to see what was there, and at one booth this guy had Angel vampire Smile time puppet and Spike as a smile time puppet for $60 each. He said if I got both I could have them for $50 each. These guys are beautiful btw, hand made, and the buttons on the coats and shirts work, and they have really awsome details, like the pockets on the coats are really pockets. They are also limited editions - Angel is 10,000 units and Spike was 5,000 units. They are numbered, but the boxes are upstairs and I don't want to bother to go look and get what the actual number of the guys are. So when we got them the guy said, oh you are going to get the kids. LOL, so here are the kids.
We picked up these little Batman Kubrick figures for Dave and Andrew got a spiderman figure. We walked around a bit, got to talk to some people that we've gotten to know at these shows, and ran into an old Ren Faire friend. So basically, not as thrilling as some cons, but alot of fun, some neat stuff, and some exercise.
Ok, that's all for now, have fun all.

so andrew will be happy

my husband actually complained that he came here, and I didn't have a new post, I can't imagine WHY, I do talk to him, but it was funny.
So, 24 was pretty cool. I can't believe Jack shot Curtis. oh, and the nuke going off, but the Curtis thing was much more shocking. And that poor guy, doing everything he was told by the terrorist, and never even knowing his kid was ok before he blew up.
So I went to the book club - it was pretty nice. I liked being able to discuss a book with people who have read it. I was the youngest person there, and they all seemed to be current or ex teachers, but still, it was nice. So I'm going to try it again next month.
Spoke with my mom some, my grandmother, the one who is a new widow is thinking of moving to NJ. It would be the first time that I actually lived near a grandparent, so I'd like that alot. I hope she does move here, though its a bit confusing that she'd want to. We thought she had lots of friends where she is.
hmm, planning for the Go Red event is going pretty good. So that's nice.
Oh I have tomorrow off from work so I can go to the Big Apple Con. Not alot of cool guests, but it will be nice to check out the vendors and stuff. And our Car insurance stuff came, still hideous, but less then last year which is good. Ok later all.
